Nightmare Bouncy Castle Customers #1
Thankfully, most of our bookings go without a hitch. However, from time to time we do experience the odd "challenge"
We arrived to the customers house in our new van. The van has a tail lift on it, whereas the old van had doors that slide shut. The tail lift takes a minute or two to operate.
The customer came out to greet us. She warned us not to trip over the tow bar at the front of the caravan, as that was over the pathway. She then pointed out the nails that were sticking out of the caravan and could cut us, or the Bouncy Castle.
We the proceeded down an alley, past part of a broken Drum Kit, and into their back garden.
I had to point out there was several piles of dog poo note grass that needed clearing. She did clear it up and covered the patches where it was.
We were then offered 2 types of electricity, we could either use the Solar Power electricity, or the power from the house. I opted for the plug in the house. She didn't seem to sure the Solar Power would last the day, or even if it had enough power to run the blower.
The Solar Power electricity was available in the garage, which looked like it had been converted into a bedroom.
The customers friend / sister then came out of the main house with a breast exposed. I cleared my throat a couple of times and she soon covered herself up.
We (myself and my Son) finished the set up. It had been particularly difficult as we had to manoeuvre the trolley around the tow bar, up on a small grass verge, past the spikes, past the broken Drum kit and down the narrow alley.
We then went on our way to another 3 bookings.
Once the final booking was done, we still had some time to spare. We have card for Booker and decided to have a look around.
My Son wanted to buy some sweets so he could sell them on at school and make a profit.
We always had to go to Asda so he could buy 3 bottles of Prime for £2.50 each. His Mum, Sister and myself also had to buy 3 each. He would then buy the Prime off of us (we were happy at getting £2.50 per bottle back.) He would then go to school and sell them for £10 per bottle
He brought 2 boxes of sweets to sell on, and 6 bottles of Shampoo and 6 bottles of Conditioner for his Mum.
We put them in the back of the van, and then went to the booking to collect the Bouncy Castle.
We had to make several trips to the van and left it open again.
The customer did offer us some food, however we had just seen them put the raw chicken on the BBQ and I didn't fancy our chances.
One of the children from the party kept following us around. It made us feel uncomfortable.
We said our goodbyes, went to the van and my Son asked where 1 boxes of sweets had gone and also the hair conditioner he had got for his Mum. I told him it should be on the back of the van, but it had vanished.
We are pretty sure the child had nicked in from the van when we left it unattended.
The customer has been blocked. It has to be one of the worst bookings we have ever done.
