Safety at Community Events
When we attend Community Events we always try to make the event run as smoothly a possible. This is done in a number of ways
Set up
The set up is extremely import to the smooth running of the inflatables. The inflatables must be a certain distance away from each other.
It could be disastrous if the inflatables were to touch whilst being used.
Fencing
We use bright orange fencing around the inflatables. The fencing is secured by long stakes. These are hammered into the ground. It normally takes two people to put the fencing up. One person would hold the orange plastic fencing, the other would weave the stakes through the fencing and hammer the stakes into position.
The fencing is also placed around the generator to stop anyone going near it. The generator can get hot and the fencing will prevent any one getting burnt.
We also have a fire extinguisher incase the generator catches fire. We make sure this is placed the other side of the fence and a good distance away from the generator. The fire extinguisher must be easy accessible, so any fire can be put out.
Once the fencing has been set up there will 2 areas. One area will be for people that have paid to go on the inflatables and will have their shoes off ready to go on.
The other area will have shoes in it. They belong to the people already on the Inflatables.
The fencing is also used to keep people in and out of the area.
We attach the price chart on the fencing too. We make sure this is in a clear and obvious place.
Safety signs are placed near to the appropriate inflatable. There is a set for the Bouncy Slide and one for the Bouncy Castle. These are kept in place by using the same stakes we use for the orange fencing.
