Where There A Will, Theres A Way

Where there's a will, there's a way!

One of our trickiest bookings was in Saltdean this Summer.

A brief conversation the customer the night before made me think this booking could be tricky. I explained that the 10ft Platform Slide is quite wide, around the width of 2 shopping trolleys. I got the impression that amount of space wasn't possible.

We turned up on the morning, and the customer greeted us (myself and my daughter.)

The customer had ordered the 10ft Platform Slide and an 11ft x 15ft Bouncy Castle.

It was soon established that the 10ft Platform Slide would not fit through the front door.

The husband soon came to assist, and we decided that going down the side of the house would be the best option.

However, there were a few steps to the side of the house, we managed to overcome them.

The next obstacle was the side gate. The side gate wasn't that wide either, however, his neighbours gate was a lot wider. The problem now was getting the 10ft Platform Slide over the wall. The 10ft Platform Slide is very heavy and extremely bulky. The 10ft Platform Slide weighs 123kg

By this stage we had the husband, the husbands son, myself, my daughter, the neighbour and I think there was another helper too.

We got the 10ft Platform Slide over the neighbours wall, through his gate and back over to the customers side path. We had a brief encounter with a drain, which we all managed to get by.

Once in the back garden, the slide needed to go up the hill to the very back of the garden. Everyone gave their all and the 10ft Platform Slide made it to the back of the garden!

I was exhausted! Overweight, sweaty, and dreading the thought of getting the 10ft Platform Slide in the van at the end of the day, and we still had the 11ft x 15ft to set up!

A couple of us stayed at the back of the garden to position the 10ft Platform Slide. In the meantime, a couple of people that were helping had gone to get the 11ft x 15ft Bouncy Castle. Thankfully it went through the house and the helpers had it in the back of the garden within minutes.

It took us around an hour to put the 10ft Platform Slide and the Bouncy Castle up, but there was a real sense achievement once they were up.

The husband said he will get lots of the guests to help move the 10ft Platform Slide and the 11ft x 15ft Bouncy Castle at the end of the day.

We do get promised that a lot, but it rarely happens as the party is in full swing, or everyone has had one beer too many!

When we turned up to pick up the 10ft Platform Slide and the 11ft x 15ft Bouncy Castle he arranged 6 people to help move the 10ft Platform Slide. We decided to fold it into a long sausage shape, rather than roll it up as we normally do. We attached 3 straps and 2 men held the strap either side of the 10ft Platform Slide.

It worked a treat! I honestly couldn't see how I could have done the booking without their help! Really lovely people, they left a lovely review on Google, and I hope they book again next year.
